Humans of Chestnut: Taylor Rice (June 2024)

Meet Taylor Rice, Chestnut’s June Humans of the Month.

Meet Taylor, a Chestnut bartender for eight years. When Taylor isn’t mixing up tasty cocktails, you can find him doing shots, going to baseball games, cooking, hiking, or just being a silly goose. Read on to learn more about Taylor.

How long have you worked at chestnut and what’s your position?

I’ve worked here for eight years and I’m a bartender.

Where are you from?

I’m from Lititz, Pennsylvania.

What’s your sign?

Gemini (June 20).

Are you a dog or cat person?

I like/have both, but I have more fun with dogs.

What do you like to do for fun?

Fun is a mindset. I like laughing, doing shots, baseball games, cooking, hiking, and being silly.

What’s something on your bucket list?

I’d like to travel around South Asia.

What’s your favorite dish here?

The Spanish Calamari Salad.

What’s your favorite kind of music?

Pink Floyd/Tool I guess that’s progressive rock, but I’m pretty picky in that genre.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I built a house starting with no skills.

Do you have any long term hopes and dreams?

I want to live on the water.

Food handcrafted with care.

We take pride in sourcing products from local growers, ranchers, cheese makers, and dairies. Everything is made in house - from hand-cut french fries to ice cream from scratch, to pickled local veggies.
