All You Need to Know

We get a lot of questions here at the Chestnut, so we've compiled some answers here. Read on...

There is a parking deck across the street under the Aloft hotel. The first hour is free, then $2 every hour after that. On-street metered parking spaces are available downtown. Enforced 8 am - 6 pm daily, and are free on Sunday (with the exception of city holidays).

The maximum size of a party that we can accommodate is 8 guests. Due to the configuration of our dining room (it’s one big room) which is mostly booths and banquettes, we are limited in our ability to accommodate large parties. Your next question may be, I have 16 people (for example) can I split them into two tables of 8? Unfortunately, we only seat one large party per half hour so unless you want to eat at a different time than the rest of your party, the answer is no. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please feel free to reach out if you'd like to dine with us, with a smaller group in the future. We'd really love to have you. The good news is our sister restaurant, Corner Kitchen, can accommodate groups from 12 to 36 guests. Click here for more information.

We are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Please note that only certain tables in the restaurant can afford to have a stroller beside them in which case we can store it for you. The host is happy to add this to your notes upon reservation.

Yes. Check out our menu and tell your host. Many of our items can be made gluten-free or vegan. Check out the menu, and if you have a special request please let the host know so they can add it to your reservation notes OR email us at [email protected].

Yes. During the warmer months (typically April through September), we put several tables out on the sidewalk in front of our restaurant. It is important to note that there is NO coverage from the elements, so it is strictly weather dependent. We also cannot sit parties larger than 4 out there due to city restrictions. Reservations cannot be guaranteed, but please ask when you make your reservation.

Yes, we do have gift cards. Purchase one online or visit our restaurant in person to pick one up.
