Meet JP McCrory, Chestnut’s April Humans of the Month.

Meet JP, our dedicated brunch sauté cook at Chestnut. For a year, he’s crafted delicious brunch delights while attending AB Tech’s culinary program. How long have you worked at chestnut and what’s your position?

One year now. I work brunch sauté.

Where are you from?

I was born in Mississippi and currently live in Waynesville.

What’s your sign?

I’m a Pisces.

Are you a dog or cat person?

Cat person.

What do you like to do for fun?

Play guitar and go outside.

What’s something on your bucket list?

I want to go to Napa Valley.

What’s your favorite dish here?

Shrimp N’ Grits.

What’s your favorite kind of music?

Noah Kahan.

What’s a fun fact about you?

I love charcuterie.

Do you have any long term hopes and dreams?

Get my sommelier certificate.

We take pride in sourcing products from local growers, ranchers, cheese makers, and dairies. Everything is made in house - from hand-cut french fries to ice cream from scratch, to pickled local veggies.
