Meet Jess Wharton, Chestnut’s Humans of the Month.

Meet Jess. One of Chestnut’s charismatic bartenders of seven and a half years. We had the opportunity to ask Jess some questions and get to know her a bit better. Read on to learn more about what Jess enjoys doing in her free time, her favorite Chestnut dish, her hopes and dreams for the future, and more.


How long have you worked at chestnut and what’s your position?

I’ve worked at Chestnut for 7 1/2 years and I’m a bartender. 

Where are you from?

 I am from Columbus, Ohio.

What’s your sign?

My horoscope sign is Aries. 😈

Are you a dog or cat person?

I love all animals but I’m a cat person.

What do you like to do for fun?

Fun activities I enjoy; hiking, being lazy at the beach, dancing, hanging out with friends and  family, making cocktails, concerts and anything involving the arts. I just like to have fun. 

What’s something on your bucket list?

I would like to travel more. So one thing on my bucket list is to travel to Greece. 

What’s your favorite dish here?

There are so many great dishes here it’s hard to choose. But probably those Truffle Fires. I call them “dangerously delicious.” I can’t get enough. 

What’s your favorite kind of music?

My favorite genre of music is Old School Funk. My favorite artist; Trent Reznor from NIN and Thom Yorke from Radiohead.

What’s a fun fact about you?

Fun fact about me, I dance. The styles I love and practice are; Popping, Locking and Waacking. And I’m a photographer.

Do you have any long term hopes and dreams?

Hopes and dreams, hmm, I have a lot. But I’ll leave with this, maybe I’ll be on the big stage one day, dancing for a touring theater show, traveling to Greece. πŸ˜‰πŸ’–
