Cheers for a Cause!

We are proud to announce our 2018 fundraising program, “Cheers for a Cause”! Every Wednesday in 2018, Westmoreland & Scully will donate a portion of the proceeds from all wines sales to a local non-profit.

Our March and April recipient is:

Verner provides high-quality early care and education to nearly 300 children throughout Buncombe County, supportive family services, health and nutrition services, and teacher education and mentoring. We have three signature programs: 1) Mothers On The Move (MOMs) where we help mothers in poverty go back to school and further their education – ultimately to break the cycle of poverty for their children; 2) Verner Experiential Garden (VEG!) where children have an opportunity to plant seeds, water the plants and then pick the vegetables when they are ripe to learn where their food comes from, and, 3) Rainbow In My Tummy®, where we feed our children fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and NO trans-fats or high fructose corn sugar. Our children eat things like hummus, eggplant Parmesan, curried lentils, baked chicken, pumpkin yogurt, homemade granola and much more. We are currently working with other child care centers in Buncombe County to help them revolutionize their food service programs!

Food handcrafted with care.

We take pride in sourcing products from local growers, ranchers, cheese makers, and dairies. Everything is made in house - from hand-cut french fries to ice cream from scratch, to pickled local veggies.
