Hosting in a restaurant is the first line of defense, and for that you need someone cool and collected who can make you feel at ease. Finding a table for dinner can be stressful, and so can seating it. Aislinn pulls it off admirably night after night.

How long have you worked for Chestnut, and what’s your current position?
I’ve been at Chestnut for about 9 months, and I’m a hostess.
Are you an Asheville local, or alternatively what brought you here?
I am an Asheville local born and raised!
What is your favorite thing you’ve eaten at the restaurant?
What lessons have you learned working in the service industry?
If you could only pick two or three places for foodies to try in Asheville, what would you suggest?
What is your biggest passion(s) outside the restaurant?
My biggest passion outside the restaurant is my volunteer work. I’ve been heavily involved with Interact Club which is an extension of Rotary International. The things that Rotary does for the community are truly amazing and all the work I’ve done with their help has been so rewarding. I love to knit as well and donate a bulk share of my blankets to the Rathbun House. They do amazing work there and the women who run it are incredible. They are so appreciative and everything helps so I try to knit and donate as much as I can!
