What is your favorite dish at Chestnut?
I really enjoy our French Dip. The beef is flavorful, the bread is crispy and our au jus brings it all together. Make sure to add Swiss and peppers!
If you could travel anywhere in the world were would it be?
I would go to France, Northern Rhône, to see the vineyards and experience their wine making.
What life lessons has working in the service industry taught you?
To roll with the punches. Every day something new and unexpected happens and you have to be able to think on your feet.
What has your most memorable experience with a guest been?
On Halloween, we keep it pretty casual here at Chestnut. The holiday loses its luster the older we get. Well, not for a group of 8 older folks! They all had matching costumes with their spouse, and dined here at Chestnut. They were laughing, taking pictures and purely enjoying the Holiday. It was a refreshing experience.
A story about a favorite regular…
In a previous restaurant I worked at, I had a couple that were regulars, that I didn’t get a chance to say good bye before leaving there. To my surprise they also frequent Brunch on Sundays here at Chestnut! I’ve been able to keep our friendship. I absolutely love seeing them, they always share experiences, and humorous stories. They brighten my day when I see them come in.
